Dangerous PR ideas
A lot of smart people make observations about the future of PR in this video, which served as the introduction to the Council of Public Relations Firms (CPRS) Critical Issues Forum, held in New York last Friday. In addition to these smart people (including Pete Blackshaw, Paul Holmes, BL Ochman and others), I’m in there, too. Here’s a wrap-up of the event, which I wish I could have attended.
Hi Shel,
Interesting video. As a PR professional from Europe I find these advice and predictions very informative.
We don’t have the same impact of social media in Europe yet - but a few agencies in each country have the ambition of getting to know more of the area of social media. So we learn from the US.
And I agree that we need to educate our clients in order for them to understand the impact of the social media. Our biggest challenge right now in Europe is that both traditional media, companies and PR agencies still haven’t figured out what to do with the social media. So every advice from people like you helps us a lot.
Best,
Christian Bogh
Rescu KommunikationPosted by Christian Bogh on 10/29 at 11:27 PMI find now that the PR people that are tracking me down and talking to me about what I am doing are those that are really trying to get a handle on social media and how it being used. I think you hit the nail on the head. These are all very smart people that get it, yes even you Shel!
