Marrying IM to email
I opened Google Mail this morning to check for FIR comments to find the Gmail hope page proclaiming that “Chat is coming soon.” The brief text explains that you’ll be able to engage in instant messaging from directly within Gmail. You’ll even be able to save and search chat sessions in Gmail. Reuters has a complete story about the impending launch.
