Top of the list of pitches I won’t read

Of all the bad, lame pitches I won’t bother reading, the top of the list must be occupied by the mass-distributed, unrequested press release in which “press release” is misspelled. Good freakin’ grief.

  1. Something like this happens once in a while, especially in published materials. I remember reading a magazine that looked like the articles were not proofread because every page there were misspelled words, grammatically wrong sentences, badly constructed statements. And to think that it was a glossy mag from a known publication.

  2. I truly sympathise, but could it be a typing/transcription error? If the rest of the release was grammatically correct I’d be tempted to give the benefit of a doubt.

  3. Isn’t this why we have spell check on our computers?
