Online video gains momentum
I haven’t seen much reporting of the report from the Pew Internet and American Life Project on online video, but I found the results to be important:
More than half of online video viewers (57%) share links to the video they find with others, and three in four (75%) say they receive links to watch video that others have sent to them.
Why any company would bury a video on its website without incorporating elements like embed codes—or even uploading the video to sites like YouTube—escapes me.
The report also points out that young adults are most active in uploading videos and engaging in participatory aspects of video content (like rating videos and leaving comments). News videos are the most frequently watched by adults of any particular content category.

As always with Pew reports, the entire 28-page report is available free as a PDF download.
